Macomber Center is a self-directed education community for children of all ages who are growing and learning without conventional schooling. Our members are registered homeschoolers. The Center is open from 9am to 5pm, 5 days a week and follows the academic year calendar. We have part-time and full-time membership options. Our members are free to follow their curiosity and pursue their interests within a rich and vibrant age-mixed community, and with the support of knowledgeable, helpful adults.
What Do Kids Do AT THE CENTER?
Our members are free to explore and socialize on their own terms each day, and decide for themselves how to spend their time here. We play games, roam through woods, make art; every day is different!
How Do I Become a Member?
We offer full-time and part-time membership options, and we require all prospective members to participate in a visiting week before membership begins.
