Changes in membership level: Members who want to spend more time at the Center may increase their membership level at any point during the academic year, providing there is sufficient space. Members may not decrease their membership level until the following academic year.

Drop off/pick up: The Center is open from 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. Please allow sufficient time when picking up your child to ensure that we can close on time. If you will be late for pick up, please call the Center as soon as possible. Consistent late pick up will result in a fee of $10 being charged for every 15 minutes past closing time.

Excursions: All participant fees are due the day before the trip takes place. Fees will include sufficient funds to cover the cost of transportation to and from the activity. All drivers will be licensed, insured, and will have Medical Consent Forms in their possession while away from the Center. Children will use seat belts unless parents choose to provide booster seats for their children’s use.

Weather related closings: Macomber Center will be closed on the first day of any weather-related emergency in accordance with the Framingham Public Schools. Families should check local media outlets for a Framingham Public Schools closing announcement. On subsequent days, Macomber Center will assess the conditions as they pertain to the Center and will decide whether the Center will be open. This decision will be based on staff’s and volunteer’s ability to arrive safely at the Center, and on the conditions at the Center itself: plowing and shoveling completed, exits free of obstructions, and heat and power operative. Member families will be informed via email of the status of the Center by 7pm the evening before the school day in question.

MACOMBER CENTER MEMBER AGREEMENT
This agreement is discussed and signed by all members at the start of each year:

“I want Macomber Center to be pleasant for everyone who comes here.

Macomber Center welcomes many visitors, of all ages. We expect current members to behave reasonably in this public setting. We welcome playing, laughter and socializing at the Center. We do not welcome bullying, swearing and other hostile behavior, nor do we welcome excessive roughhousing.

I will participate in making and keeping Macomber Center clean and attractive.

All members of our community are expected to clean up their own trash, wash their own dishes, and contribute to the general attractiveness of the Center. Within reasonable limits, staff may request help from any member at any time to tidy up some part of the Center.

I am responsible, as is everyone, for the creation of a vibrant, desirable community. I will do my best to contribute to this goal for the Center.”
